So far I have about 15-18 friends (not even including family) that i need to get Christmas gifts for. what i did one year was bake a bunch of cookies, like gingerbread, sugar cookies cut into xmas shapes and with colored sprinkles. I added some candy as well. Everyone enjoyed it, cuz its something everyone can enjoy. And it was made by you. True xmas spiriit
If your funds are so low that you can’t afford gifts for the ones you love, don’t give to the charities and donations this year. Use that money to take care of your own just this one year. If you have 15 people to buy for with $60 that is $4.00 each and I don’t think you can get anything at the Dollar store for that kind of money. If you are going to buy for everybody on your list, you need to look in your budget for more money. I would rather get a nice card explaining that you didn’t have any money than a CHEAP gift.

For the people that you care more about get the more better gift.1st make of how much you have and what needs the more money. then divide it up. like spend 20$ on your mom and less on your other friends. remember blood is thicker than water.
You can bake sugar cookies and put them in a decorated tin can, or at least for women you can get those glass jars with the wavy top and fill with poppouri and a string of christmas lights with a sewn lace top on it. It’s very pretty, and fun to do.
buy them all little cute cheap presents.
or a homemade card because they know it came from te heart.
Give them a christmas card with some scratch off lottery tickets in there.
why don’t you go to walmart or walgreens pick up lotion gifts, body poufs, hair accessories, keychains, &split them like you wanted to make beauty baskets : ) although 40-60 mayy not be enough for 18 friends sorrry. you could try though! if i was you i’d only think of my true friends though it’s impossible to have 15-18 REAL friends.
15 people, only spending $3 each would be $45. $4 each would be $60……and you already said you dont want to spend that much You need to do something either that you can make very inexpensively or just not get everyone something.

Another Get some tins at the dollar store, and then bake cookies or make candy or something like that. Or make pretty scented soaps for the girls. I can help you with recipe ideas if you want to go with that……and can point you in the right direction to make soap if you want to consider that. And something you make, even if its inexpensive to make, means, a bit more.

You could give your friends the gift of donating to a charity, thereby consolidating your gift list (so instead of spending 50 on your friends and donating 50, just donate 100 in their name). For example, through the Heifer Fund, you can buy rabbits or geese for a poor community in a third world country in honor of your friends. Then, the Heifer fund will send them cards informing them of the gift in their honor and how this will help the poor community. You can see the gifts to give here:

Even though the Heifer Fund has this system set up, you can do this with the charity you usually give to, and then make cards yourself telling your friends you gave the donation in their name. I just like the Heifer Fund because to give a poor village a goat or some rabbits in someone’s name just feels different than giving a soup kitchen money in someone’s name.
You would be surprised how great people feel when they get these cards telling them how the gift in their name has helped this community – much better than getting dollar store presents or candles or chocolates.
well i don’t normally buy for my friends or my sister’s our money is always tight. Well this year i made all my girl friends and sister’s bath salts. how to make
2 cups Epsom salt
1/2 cup sea salt
a good smelling body spray
a food coloring
Mix the salts,spray the body spray on the salt stir it.(about 3 pumps) separate salt into 2 take one add a few drops of what ever color of food coloring, stir the well.
this makes one large jar or two small jars.
i bought all this stuff at the dollar tree. i made 6 of these for family and friends.this cost me $12.00
